As you approach the Waterfront, you’re greeted by panoramic views that stretch across the azure waters of Lake Toba, with the towering peaks of the surrounding mountains providing a dramatic backdrop. The air is crisp and invigorating, infused with the scent of pine trees and the gentle rustle of leaves.

When walking the route along the lake you get to learn a lot about the culture and history of Lake Toba. You’ll encounter statues of mythological animals, traditional boats, and large volcanic stones. And much more. The explanations are in English and Indonesian.

Need some rest? Along the route you’ll find several restaurants and cafes. Indulge in authentic Batak dishes, bursting with flavors and spices that reflect the rich culinary heritage of the region. During the weekends, there is a spectacular fountain show in the evenings. The atmosphere is lively, and it attracts many locals.
